Parking in the Square
The covenants and regulations concerning parking in the square mean that residents should only park in their designated parking area and not on the road. Parking is allowed for vehicles which are delivering to a house or undertaking a particular service for a house. At all times consideration is needed to make sure that, should the worst happen, emergency vehicles will need to access any part of the square.
To date, the Board has sought to adopt a more informal policy for parking. This is to reflect the community feel of the square and recognise that we all have occasional visitors. This approach means that we have, to date, managed to avoid a more formal enforcement of parking restrictions , with few problems.
Notwithstanding this, where there is abuse of this policy by, for example, regular parking in a communal area or the road which causes inconvenience to others, the Board will seek to enforce the parking restrictions, in the first place by a friendly word before more formal measures are taken. Hopefully we can maintain this approach for the benefit of all.
